Thor Hmielewski
I'm Thor Hmielewski, a proud third-generation Floridian with a deep-rooted connection to this state. Growing up in Kissimmee and traveling across Florida, I've come to appreciate its rich history and the sense of adventure, imagination, and freedom it offers.
After high school, I joined the Marines and found myself serving in Afghanistan, where I learned valuable lessons in dependability, organization, and leadership. Transitioning to civilian life, I worked as a contractor for the Department of State, leading security teams for diplomats and officials in Iraq.
My journey into real estate began unexpectedly while working in Iraq. While home in Cape Coral recovering from a knee injury, I purchased my first property igniting my passion for real estate. After returning to work I continued to follow the market closing on my own properties from a laptop while on the move overseas.
In 2021, after leaving my job due to medical disagreements, I embarked on a new path as a full-time Real Estate Agent. I cut my teeth with my first client, AB Homes SWFL, a local family-owned homebuilder who I still represent today.
In 2022, a fellow Marine, Charlie, offered me an opportunity with Potter Trinity only weeks before Hurricane Ian struck. Despite the devastation, 2023 became a year of growth and perseverance, culminating in my best year in real estate with $10,000,000 in production.
Beyond transactions, real estate has allowed me to connect with people across Southwest Florida and give back to the community. Whether it's volunteering as a board member for my condo association or supporting fellow veteran entrepreneurs and those assimilating back into normal life, I believe in investing my time to keep our community thriving for future generations.
